Name:
Robert Michael Blake
(sorry Antoine!)
Birthdate:
July 16th, 2000
Height:
2 feet, 5 inches
Weight:
Like a lead brick
Eyes:
Hazel, sometimes Brown, sometimes Green
Hair:
Not much, but what he has likes to stand up like a mohawk on top
somedays. It's light brown, edged with curls over his ears and on
his neck.
Inny or
Outty:
an Outty.
Education:
Mama's Rules 101
Occupation:
Being a little booger.
Personality:
Stubburn. Blake is his own little individual person . He's no wallflower
and overpowers the older kids with his rough friendliness.
Likes:
Blake loves his grammas and grampas, aunts and uncles. He'll eat
literally anything. There's nothing he won't try. We dumped out
the sand from his sandbox to use it as a pool because he was swallowing
it by the handful. The next day we ended up changing 100-grit diapers.
As long as he can swallow it, he's happy for more. But chocolate
is his ultimate favorite. He will break down into tears after he's
finished off the last bite. He also wants mommy and daddy's ba-ba
(bottle): which means we can't leave any soda pop can in his reach
:) He loves music and to dance to it, bouncing and singing. He'll
even sing along with us or the radio. He goes wild in his jumper
seat that we attach in the doorway. He loves huggin, slobbery kisses,
going "thhhhhhpppppp", brushing his finger up and down over his
lip, going "bb-bb-bb-bb-bb", and rough-housing (which
includes pulling hair, scratching and biting with those new toothies
- ouch!) attacking everyone with glee. Blakey is wild for water
and baths. He waits for every opportunity to charge through the
open bathroom door and climb to the tub. He'll splash and drink
the water from the shower nozzle -- and we've ended up using his
sand box grampa got us for a Blakey swimming pool.
Oh yeah, forgot
to mention that he had lots of fun when he discovered the toilet
bowl had water in it too... Blake climbs onto everything, over anything,
through anywhere and charges up stairs without fear. He's got a
passion for our butterfly chair - jumping and standing and wiggling
around in it, playing peek-a-boo and squealing in it. He also takes
special glee in running around 'au naturale.'
Dislikes:
Naptime and being told "No." He wants to do what he wants to do
and is very determined. He's into his own thing.
Accomplishments:
Blakey can say 'da-da', 'ma-ma-ma-ma', 'no', 'ba-ba' (for his bottle).
He'll say 'bye-bye' to everyone and wave up and down at the wrist
with either or both hands. He'll mimic words he hears from us too,
like 'uh-oh'. Of course he has his own language of a hundred words.
"doggey-doggey-doggey" is his fave. He stands unsupported often,
but still prefers to walk while holding onto furniture, otherwise
he has no fear. He'll use boxes or any object for a stepping stool
to climb onto something too high. He's beginning to pick up his
toys from the floor and carefully place them on the table and try
to brush his own hair (all on his own without ever being prompted).
He tries to use his toy keys to open locked doors. He's figured
out how to open his baby gate. Once, while in our truck, we heard
a squeal of laughter from the back seat - Blake had somehow undid
the belt latch and was standing up in his car seat facing forward.
He claps and sings and has an infectious giggle. He wants what the
grown-ups are drinking and eating... and he doesn't want anybody
helping him, he's a big boy and he wants to feed himself! He's got
5 choppers - now two on the bottom, three on top with a fourth on
the way.
